  1. (continued from previous page)
    "Jennie, come card, come card
    Jennie, come card, come card
If I had Bob Roche's wheel
I would card it and spin it myself."
Another was Ellen Crowley. "Is she idin" was a nick-name that was on her. She got that name because when she would come to the door of a house she would say "Is she idin."
Another was Maggie Mullins and she also had a nick-name her's was "Maggie Please God." She got that name because she had "Please God" with every other word.
Anty Power is another. "Anty the slut" was a nick-name that was on her.
There was a bull-dog in a house that she was going into one day, and he tore her leg. She showed it to the woman of the house who said "you are bleeding" and all poor Anty could say was "oh! he slut, oh the slut." That is how she got that nickname.
