The road which runs from the crossroads in the eastward direction is called alternatively Mill Road and Distillery Road because there was a place for distilling whiskey situated on it as well as a mill.
Carrig a'File is a district about five or six miles to the west of the town. It is situated on very high and poor land-the district around being mountainous and rocky.
