no ruins left, but it is believed to be situated on the banks of the river which flows through the field, thereby giving the name of Bishops Water to the surrounding district.
The road which runs from the crossroads in the eastward direction is called alternatively Mill Road and Distillery Road because there was a place for distilling whiskey situated on it as well as a mill.
Carrig a'File is a district about five or six miles to the west of the town. It is situated on very high and poor land-the district around being mountainous and rocky. A big cliff overhangs the mountain road, which is hardly worthy of the name and is covered with peculiar shaped rocks which explain its name.
