  1. To be said at any time of the day.
I must die but I know not when where or how but if I die in mortal sin I am lost for ever.
This prayer is to be said when going to bed at night.
Here I lie down on my bed of God I give my soul to God to keep
any evil come to me, blessed Mother waken me.
There are four corners on my bed,
there are four angels over spread
    Matt, Mark, Luke, and John,
God bless the bed that I lay on.
As I go to my bed as I go to my grave, I give Mary the bough and Joseph the branch. Jesus, Mary and Joseph may be with me in my dying hour.

Prayer to be said when in bed.
Come sweet Jesus come to me
come to the heart that is longing for Thee. Into thy hands O Lord I commend my spirit. Lord let me not be confounded.
