  1. During the penal days there were many Mass Paths. There is still one to be seen in a field belonging to Mr Lambert Mulrankin. When the priests were not allowed to say Mass in their churches the priests and people used to gather together in lonely places to hear Mass and to receive the sacraments. The man of the house did everything he could to keep the people from crossing the field but it was all no use.
