  1. Fairy Forts,
    There are four raths in my district there is one in Ballygarven on O'Hagan'sland; one in Boley on Mr. Byrne's land; one in Boley on Mr Jack Byrne's land. they are all in reach of each other they are all circular in shape. there is round each which consiets of about three ditches built round. Between each ditch there is a dyke of water. There is no hole in the raths in my district. The Irish of old are supposed to have built them for the protection of themselves and their stock which put inside one of the circular ditches that was built arounfd the rath.
    The fairies are supposed to live in them there is no story.
