  1. When the Wexford Insurgents were camped on Corbert hill on the 4th June, in the ranks of the Wexford men were two brothers Lacey's, Cushinstown, Co. Wexford. They left their home to their youngest brother Jimmy, they gave instructions to him to look after the farm until their return. At 11 o' clock that night Jimmy informed his mother he could see the camp fires on Corbert hill. He told her he would like to go, His mother told him if he wished to go to being in the cows and leave them in the house for the morning and if he would see his eldest brother Tom send him home to her.
