Oh Mavourneen says Kitty give air to my ditty
Tis funny and witty and won't keep you long.
About those sly foxes and their Christmas boxes.
I've made up my mind to compose this new song.
All through the year round every shilling and pound
Can be earned or found by the sweat of your locks
We'll leave in their till their big bellies to fill
And now they'll refuse us our Christmas box.

    Their association deserves condemnation
For through Eireanns nations its like can't be found
their object and plan is to take all they can
And to crush the poor hard working man to the ground
Without boasting or bragging from New Ross to Shielbaggin
From the Tower of Hook to Forth Mountain and knocks
They have solemnly swore by the year '94
They will deal with the man who gave them a Christmas box.

By my word says Kate Dwyer that is all we'll require
We'll go up the town and those shammers we'll foil
Not a shilling we'll spend from weeks end to end
But we'll leave with Tom Redmond and likewise Pat Doyle
Let them boycott away until next Christmas day
And believe what I'll say they'll be found on the rocks
