  1. In the townland of Tour about two miles East of the village of Mt Temple the ruins of an old house is still to be seen. There lived an old woman, in this house, who made ointment that cured a burn.
    Many people came from far and near to get this ointment. The people who wanted it had to bring this woman a pound of lard, or a pound of unsalted butter. The cure is now in the district of Dunlum held by an old man named Edward Ledwith.
