  1. In Ballyboran the district in which I live they say that Friday is the lucky day to begin ploughing or cutting oats or to begin to cut meadow. It is said that it is lucky to start to build a house on Friday that money will be put in to the four corners of the house.
    It is lucky to change from one house to another on a Friday. A newly married pair usually come home from their honey moon on a Friday night. They say it is the lucky day. The lucky day to begin planting potatoes is Friday.
