  1. In our district Magheramore about two miles west of Moate there was a small little thatched where the priest used to read Mass in the penal days. The priest hunters heard of this little chape and they burned it down.
    Then the priest said Mass on a large rock near by. The rock which is called 'Suidhe Óg' is to be seen there yet. After some time the priests were hunted from the rock by people named Lowe and Dixon who were priests hunters at that time.
