  1. (continued from previous page)
So take me to thy Sacred Heart
    Thy Kingdom come.
Oh Mary my mother preserve me this day from all sin.
I lay my body down to sleep.
I pray to God my soul to keep,
And if I die before I wake
I pray to God my soul to take,
And if I wake before I die
I pray to God to be my guide.
    Four corners oe'r my bed
    Four angels oe'r my spread,
Mathew, Mark, Luke and John to bless
    this bed I lie upon.
Lord be my branch, Lady be my flower
Sweet Jesus, Mary and Joseph be at
    my last dying hour.
Oh my good angel to whom God
in his mercy appointed to be
    my guardian
Illuminate, defend, protect, direct and govern me this day from all sin.
