  1. Daisy chains are made in Summer time yet by the little girls of the district.
    The boys made kites from sticks and brown paper. They tie two sticks together in the form of a cross. Then they glue light brown paper to the sticks. They fasten a loop of twine to the sticks. A tail must be added with a light tassel of paper at the end.
    Boys also made traps from sally rods for catching birds.
