    There is a well in Clonabrany and people say the English soldiers killed George Plunket the owner of Clonabrany and after killing the owner they took the baby from an old woman where she was in hiding and killed him on the flags of the well.

    brought it down in her apron. There is a well in Glenon's field it is about thirty or forthy yards from the mill gate on the other side of the road. It is said to be a blessed well and it cures a head-ace. There is a well in Sarastown and people say a poor woman washed her stockings in it and it disapeared. There is also a well on the right hand side of the road as you go out Killua gates and it is called Jacob's well.
