  1. There is a hidden treasure in Cummerstown in a field near the public road. A man was told in a dream that there was a crock of gold in this field. One night he said and two other men went to dig for it. When they had a deep hole made they came to a big crock. They had it half lifted when they saw a funeral coming down the road. They said that they would put out the light. When the funeral had passed they lit the candle again but they could find neither the hole or the crock, all was the same as they began.
