    It is said that no vermin works in the blessed clay of St Kieran's churchyard. It was said that St Colmcille stole a cross from St Kieran but St Kieran heard him and followed him, and caught him in the middle of the river and they lost a bit of the cross and it is to be seen in the river yet.
