    for stopping a cut from bleeding.
    The leaves of the violet when pounded up was a good poultice for boils.
    The flower of the red clover when boiled was used for a cancer.
    The root of the "Cranesbill" was used to stop bleeding.
    The dock root is excellent for curing liver troubles.
    Mustard seed is good for indigestion when boiled in water for an hour.
    A weed called "Self Heal" was used for skin disease. It is boiled and rubbed to the skin with a silk cloth
    Marigold is a golden yellow flower found in the ditches or by the waterside. The centre is hairy and the leaves heart shaped. This flower is pulled and made into a "possett" and the soup given to a person for a drink. It is a cure for "Heart Disease".
    "Mararoodle" weed boiled in water or milk and given to a person as a drink, is a cure for nerve, skin and blood diseases.
