Marigold is a golden yellow flower found in the ditches or by the waterside. The centre is hairy and the leaves heart shaped. This flower is pulled and made into a "possett" and the soup given to a person for a drink. It is a cure for "Heart Disease".
"Mararoodle" weed boiled in water or milk and given to a person as a drink, is a cure for nerve, skin and blood diseases.
