  2. There was usually great fun at the matchmaking. The suitor would go to the bride's house. The host would sit at the head of the table. On his right hand the suitor's spokesman and company, on his left hand the bride's spokesman and his company. It was counted unlucky to have a woman at the matchmaking. The suitor's spokesman would ask for the girl and her dowry. They then would begin to argue. When it would be settled the suitor's spokesman
