  1. The monks that were in the churchyard were shot by Cromwell, and also 16 nuns in Castle Kag. He also shot a woman at Brakey's corner (where the pump near [?] Residence now stand) .... He shot the steeple from the Nanny Bridge and nearly knocked it to the ground. He was passing through Duleek, and he lodged in the steeple. He blew up the church. It is said that the blood was [?] down Mary's Hill in Drogheda.
