    kettle for them. They used to ask the people for potatoes.
    They travelled around the district on foot. They used to travel singly. There was an old woman who used to go around very frequently in the district and she was called "Big Winne". She was six feet in height. She used to call at every house in the district and she would drink two quarts of butter-milk and she would ask for a dozen of spuds. There was another old one and she was called "Kity The Thinker". This old one used to sell pins, brooches, studs, needles, and laces.The people used to buy things from her.There was another old fellow called "Forty Coats" because he used to wear a lot of coats and he used to go around begging at the houses.
