    There were tithes collected in our district every year. Some people paid them in kind, which means cattle, corn or potatoes. Most people paid with money ------- about £6 per farm every year. If a person refused to pay he would be evicted.
    Once upon a time the Landlord stole a mass book out of the Catholic Church. He had a "fight" with the priest. One day the priest rode on his horse up to the landlord's house. He
