    A mist in the morning is the sailors warning.
    A rainbow at night is the sailors delight.

    When the south wind blows hard we are sure to have rain. The clouds chase one and other over the sky when there is going to be a storm.
    Before storm the sea gulls fly low and noisly.
    If in the early morning the sheep lie up high on the hill, there will be a good day but if they lie on the hollow it will be a bad day.
    If the cat sits with her back to the fire or if the dog eats grass we are sure to have rain.
    The crickets sing and the insects fly low before a spell of fine weather. If the sun goes down red in the west the next day will be a good one.
