    the other person. Two shillings or a half-crown is the luck that is generally given.
    When a man is selling a beast he asks a certain amount of money. The buyer offers a lower price but the seller is not satisfied and goes away.
    After a while he comes back again and trys to make a bargain but does not succeed. Then a neighbour standing by takes hold of their hands and strikes the palms against each other and finishes the deal. Then the beast is marked. The hair is cut with a scissors or is marked with dirt or a raddle. Cargrease is used for marking bonhams.
    The halter is given with a horse that is being sold. The people suppose is to be lucky.
    There are special fairs held for sheep and cattle and horses and there are special fairs for pigs.
