  2. Travelling folk live generally on the side of the roads. The O'Reilly's are a well known family in the district. They are very poor and they have no way of travelling but in vans and horses and more in ass carts. The women go from house to house begging food from the people. The men mend buckets, gallons, and articles like them. Sometimes they earn a few pounds by selling asses and ponies.
