  1. (Composed by Pat Sheehan a native of Dangan, Golden)
    (I)
In Dangan hill long time I lived,
    And all my generation.
When I met that cub called Humpy Grubb
    Which disturbed my habitation.

    (II)
The horn sounds and the cry of hounds
In the morning aroused me early
I stole away to take my leave with Luke (?)
    My next door neighbour.

    (III)

    And into Tobin's farm
I made Seánín's geese go on their knees (?)
And there to beg my pardon.
