  1. There is a fort about a hundred yards away from my house, and it is supposed to be haunted. It is said that a bright light is seen passing there about twelve o'clock in the night. It is said that in a fort near Cashel a cow died, and the farmer buried her in the fort. When Summer came he was cutting hay in the field where the fort was, and when suddenly to his great surprise, he saw the cow he was after burying walking around and with her a calf. He was hardly able to believe what he saw. This happened five or six years ago.
