  1. Richard Russell, Ballydwag granduncle of James Russell, jumped six loads of hay as they were moving along the road. He was on the sixth load and wanted to speak to the man on the first.
    Michael Murphy Kilnesare carries two 20 stone sacks of grain, one under each arm, around the the market house Templemore for a bet. He was the only man coming to Loughmore Flour Mill who was able to load his own car with 20 stone sacks
    John Brolan was able to write his name on a wall higher than his head having two 1/2 cwt weights hanging on his hand. He was also able to raise a 1/2 cwt with each finger of his two hands
