  1. The following are the names of weeds that grow in my district:
    The lamb's quarter, buck thistle, sow thistle, chicken-weed, fox-tail, scutch -grass, robin-run-the hedge, boochulawn, cachie-eye, water cress, nettles, spunk, dandelion, dock-leaves, ferns, preshock rushes, flagger, growadoel, wart-weed, bull-rush, drownding-leaves.
    The lamb's quarter is a green coloured weed with a big long root. It grows only in tillage fields or in rich land.
    Buck-thistles grow in grazing land. They grow about five or six feet high. It has a pink blossom.
    So-thistles are a tall soft weed and it grows in potato-ground mostly. They are called sow-thistles because sows eat them.
    Chicken-weed is found in gardens. It grows flat along the ground, and it has a small pink blossom.
    Fox-tail has an evergreen colour. It is a very hard weed to pull because it has a
