    A long time ago there was a wild boar...

    A long time ago there was a wild boar living in the woods that grew along the banks of the Suir in Loughmore.
    A great many men tried to kill him but he killed them. The boar lived mostly in Clonomocogue. A that time a man named Stapleton lived in the castle. He said that he would give all his lands and his daughter in marriagge to any man who would kill the boar.
    After a while a man named Purcell came from Kilkenny. He said he would kill the boar. He got a lot of arrows and a bow and he went down along the bank of the river through the woods. He wasn't gone far when he saw the boar rushing at him. Purcell climbed a tree but the boar dug it up with his nose. Purcell got over to another but the boar dug up also. He kept going from tree to tree until the boar got tired. He sat down at the bottom of the tree looking up at Purcell with his mouth open. Purcell put an arrow in his bow and fired it down the boar's throat and choked hi. Then he came down from
