“About four miles from Carrig there is a large estate called Fadden.”
(ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)made a bank about five feet long, and this piece of a bank caused them a lot of trouble because it was very hard to dig the soil.
The next morning when they came to their work the banking had disappeared. The next day it was made again and it was gone the following morning. Now it is said that this piece of banking was made on a Fairy's Pass.
This little piece of banking has remained undone , for each time it was made it has disappeared the next morning.Told by my grandmother, Mrs Lehane aged 75. Carrig Birr
