    There in this vale as if be enchantment
    I found the oak and the maple tree
    The shaking aspen, the twining laurel
    The lime the larch and the mulberry
    The hare and rabbit unpursued by sportsmen
    Are often seen coursing along the lawn
    And the crystal fountains down from the mountains
    Through the verdant valley of Glenacurrane
