   Another sign of rain is when the swallows in the Summer are flying low. When the Macgillicuddy's are to bee seen from Kilfinane it is a sign that we are in for a spell of fine weather.
   During fine weather if the walls get damp it is a sign of a change and if they get damp in wet weather it is a sign that we are in for fine weather.

   If the wind causes the dust to rise up from the road it's a token of very bad weather. If "Goat's Hair" as it is commonly known is visible on the sky it indicates rain and very bad weather. If the sun set too red or too washy looking and the wind is blowing from the south or north it signifies broken weather.
