  1. Local Heroes.
    The two strongest men who lived in Kildimo were Morgan O'Brien and John Purcell.
    John Purcell lives in Knock-Ruad and he lifted the anvil which weighed thirty stone at the forge. Morgan O'Brien also lifted the thirty stone anvil and lives in Ballycasey with his sister.
    Harry Sheehy is the swiftest runner in all Ireland. He won the four mile championship in Cork, Limerick, Dublin and Waterford. He lives in Court House about a mile east of Kildimo. Jim Sheehy who lived in Court House jumped the highest jump that was ever performed in Limerick on a horse. This record at the race course is still unbeaten in Limerick.
