  1. Local Forts.
    There is a fort situated in Mr. O'Donnell's land about one mile south of Kildimo village in the townland of Ballyrune. The people about that fort call it a rath and there are many stories in connection with it. It is circular in shape surrounded by trees and inside in it there is earth and it is covered with long grass. There is a division between the trees so that they could enter into it.
    I was passing through this field and I saw a small man about two feet in height walking into the fort, but as soon as he entered he disappeared and I did not see or hear of him any
