    the well disappeared unknown to the people and it was found afterwards in an upland field near Mr. Stokes house.
    There is a Holy well in the Parish of Pallaskenry called Tobar Muire which means Saint Mary's well and the people in that district tried to drain the water into the village by means of pipes but they did not succeed and the pipes are lying beside the well ever since.
