    7. Rash. Crushed cabbage put down on it.
    8. Bleeding from the nose. Let a cold key down the person's back.
    9. Whooping cough. To drink the "leavings" (milk) after the ferret has taken its feed, or to crawl in and out under a donkey's stomach nine times.
    10. Chilblains - Rub the juice of an onion to them, or wash them in paraffin oil.
    11. Warts. Rub the water that is found in the hollow of a (?) rock to them, or pull a dandelion or sow-thistle. Break the stem and rub the milky fluid, which comes out of the broken end to them.
    12. Boil. Put a slice of a mangold or a slice of fat bacon, or steeped loaf bread, or soap and sugar up to it.
    13. Cold in the head. Bathe the feet in a mustard bath.
    A cold (general). Drink a good mug of hot milk with a generous supply of butter and pepper in it, just after going to bed.
