  1. This story is said to have happened in Lisready, in our parish of Loughill about a mile from my house One dark, cold winter night a man was coming home from a wake. He had to pass a fort which is situated in Clancy's farm, and suddenly a light shone in front of him. He had a mile further to go home, and it kept on before him, until he reached his own house. Suddenly it dissappeared, and the man went in home and went to bed. Every night before he went to sleep, he used to spend and hour in prayer.
