Up to the present day when people get a sting from a wask they rub in washing blue to remove the sting.
The juice of a dock leaf is supposed to cure the burn of a nettle.
The "fasting spit" was supposed to cure warts. This cure is still in use.
- If a person had the Measles a cure for them was to boil sheep's dropping in milk and strain it and then give the milk to the child.
