    In a field belonging to Mr. Fleming of Cornhill, Glanworth Co. Cork there is a round flat stone with inscriptions on it.

    In a field belonging to Mr. Fleming of Cornhill, (Fermoy) Glanworth Co. Cork there is a round flat stone with inscriptions on it. It is thought there is a treasure buried underneath it. Long years ago there was a big battle fought at Manning Ford which is not far away. It is supposed that a General belonging to the fighting party buried his wealth beneath the stone. Some years ago a party came to explore it but as far as is known they found nothing.
