  1. Historical owing to the fact that a Spencer lived here (probably the Spencer who married one of the Nagles of Monanimy).
    Colonel Nagle lived there. He was succeeded by Mr. James Creagh, who was living here in 1839.
    James Creagh married Mary Anne, daughter of Philip Barry of Ballynahina. Their son Philip W. Creagh was afterwards of Dundullerick, Co. Cork.
    After James Creagh, George Carleton lived in the Cottage from 1868-1876.
    Since then, the owners have been, Mr. Cooper, a Scotchman, Miss Jennie Baylor and the present owner is Mrs Elizabeth Riordan, Ex. N.T.
