   Another woman in the same locality had her butter taken also and she suspected a man, living in the neighbourhood, who had the reputation of working "piscóga" of being the guilty party. This woman told the first mentioned person "to boil a bag of pins" and that while they were boiling the "piscóg" worker would come in. This woman did as she was directed and the suspected man walked into the house and she in a terrible rahe kicked him out the door. Then that day forward her butter was not interfered with.    Story from - Mrs. M. Sheehan. Banteer. Co. Cork.
   Age - 40 yrs.

   There is a story that is told locally. A little girl used be sent to school regularly and all seemed to be going well until one day her mother met the teacher.

   The mother made inquiries as to how her child was progressing and to her great surprise the teacher informed her that she had not seen the child for weeks.

   The child was questioned very closely and neither parents nor teacher could get a satisfactory explanation from her concerning her absences from school and so they decided
