  1. Mr. Leader was the landlord of this district. He was a protestant. He gave a site for Dromagh Catholic Church.
    He also gave £100 towards the building of the Church. Dromagh castle was the property of Mr. Leader.
    A large number of men were working mining coal for Mr. Leader. This is the way Mr. Leader paid his men.
    he kept the first load of coal for himself. He gave a load of coal to each man working for him.
    Larch chimney were built because of the mining. Those chimneys are to be seen at present. They are about a wuarter of a mile behind the Fairfield.
