    Potatoes in this district are sown in drills. The ground is first ploughed again into drills with a drill plough. The manure is put into the drills the potatoes are cut in two called "Scallions" and spread on top of the manure. The drills are again turned over on the manure and closed.
    Spades are very little used in this district except for small gardens. Spades are bought in the shop. Farmers help one another at the busy period giving
