  1. Mr Henry Longfield was the local landlord in former times.
    His people lived in Mallow and they were settled there for about a hundred years.
    They were looked upon as very good landlords. If the people could not pay their rent, they were let off. There has never been eviction or planting carried out in the district.
    The land was divided into a number of farms under the guidance of the landlords. The farms were sub-divided also
