    On St Stephens Day the boys hunt a wren and having killed it. They place it on top of a Holly Bush and go around singing a song the words of which are as follows : - The Wren, The Wren the king of all birds.
    "St Stephens Day he was caught in the furze.
    "Although he is little his family is great.
    "So fill up your glasses and give us a treat.
    "And if you fill it of the best we hoped in Heaven your soul will rest.
