    Long ago when a person had a swelling on the throat, they brought in the gander, and left the gander's breath down the person's throat, and that cured it.

    When a person has a sore eye, get a marriage ring, rub it in leather, and make the Sign of the Cross with the sore eye and the sore eye will get cured.

    When a person has a toothache chew a frog's leg, and the toothache will go away.

    Where a person has a wild fire on his face, write the first and last letters of your name around the wild fire with ink, and it will get alright.
