Wool Spinning (No.6)
When my father was young he saw wool spun by his mother. At first, the wool was clipped off the sheep. It was washed and dried, and then the wool was carded into thread. It was put on the spindles and spun into thread. Then she took it to the weaver to weave it into flannel.
She made waiscoats and stockings from some of the thread and she sold the rest.
