- (continued from previous page)neighbours came with some weapons to capture Doncadh Dubh. They overpowered him and beat him with their weapons and took him to Clonakilty to the police. He was tried in Clonakilty and found guilty and was hanged and buried in a hole in the east of the town. His brothers were captured and hanged in Bandon.
- Long ago the people were very superstitious. These superstitions are known as "Piseógs." Here are some of them chiefly dealing wi country life. When you go into a house and see a person making butter you sould put your hand on the churn and say, "Dail ó Dhia ar an obair".
