    these also were highwaymen. His two brothers often helped him in his bad work. They robbed and killed many people in West Cork. They used to rob people in coaches in the middle of the night. They used to hide by the fences of the road and then come suddenly on the people. No one felt safe with money in their pockets then. Men coming from fairs with money had great fear of them. They had many narrow escapes from the police. They used to hide in woods and caves from the police.
    Doncadh was captured in a house in Geragh about six miles north-west of Clonakilty. He entered a ministers house in Geragh to plunder it and to rob its owner. He broke into the house and went into a room upstairs. The minister went upstairs after him and opened the door. When he opened the door the highwayman shot him dead.
